The Leper Colony is an opportunity for the College students to minister to a largely forgotten group of people with a dreaded disease.  Regardless of their class before diagnosis, once the disease is named they find themselves isolated from most of society.  They see their bodies wasting away with the disease with little or nothing to occupy their time but to contemplate their fate.  They find little hope.  The College Students come and visit giving much needed relationship, and with it hope as only found in Christ.
